Stress has been defined as: a state of increased alertness or activation of the body systems which would be involved in the “flight or fight” syndrome. This promotes physical and emotional stress related responses that include: fatigue, increased heart rate, muscle tension, elevated blood pressure and an increase or lack of appetite.  Other physiological changes may result in lack of motivation, procrastination, trouble focusing and an increased inability to follow through or complete tasks.

Although you may not be able to alter your environment, you do have the ability to change your reaction to it. You can begin to incorporate more positive ways to manage and alleviate stress in your personal and professional life. Exploring new ways to handle situations over which you have NO control and acquiring new communication techniques that eliminate the stress and fears of confrontations reduces stress and anxiety. You can learn to utilizing strategies that allow your mind and body to work together in unison and harmony to enhance your health, happiness and productivity.

Q: How Does Hypnotherapy Help?

A: We will ascertain the following information to determine and formulate the most positive suggestions and techniques to obtain the best results possible for your needs:

  • Your current level of stress, anxiety and tension.
  • Factors which contribute to these feelings and responses.
  • Somatic signs and symptoms that you are experiencing.
  • Coping behaviors already employed.

After obtaining this information you will then enjoy a hypnosis session that may incorporate relaxation, visualization, and positive affirmations by the Hypnotherapist.  The first session will provide some immediate relief. We provide an audio CD recording of the hypnosis session that you can continue to use daily for a period of 28-32 days to accomplish the maximum benefits.    

Q: How Many Visits Will I Need?

A: You will return at least once more in approximately 10-14 days. We will review your progress and incorporate additional suggestions into a new hypnosis session to facilitate continued progress.

Subsequent sessions are determined by the client and the Hypnotherapist based on the clients needs and progress. The Hypnotherapist can also teach the individual appropriate “quick fix”, self-hypnosis, stress and tension relievers to use during challenging or vulnerable times of crisis or increased stress. You will also find that you become more aware of the signs and symptoms of the onset of stress. As you master the techniques you will increase your ability to utilize them at any time and in any situation. 

If you are unable to come into one of our offices, for personal sessions, we can discuss your issues and needs over the telephone and then record an individually designed CD for you
